My micro aquaium this week almost doubled in population againit seems.I seen a dileptus which is a predatory ciliate, ussually encountered swimming in the water(Patterson 168). i also seen the same organisms i've been seeing but just alot more. There were shells everywhere where the cyclopse and the rotifers had shelles. i think haveing low water had alot to do with it because they had no where to go. It was way easier to see everything with less water in the aquarium.

week 1: oct. 23 2008

in my micro aquarium i was able towatch something intersting this first week i had a cyclopse get caught on a peice of algea and he couldn't move. i wacthed him for about 7 minutes while he just wiggled around trying to get lose. It was pretty cool cause they ussually move really fast and you cant really stay on them. i also had daphina and rotifers in the aquarium this week that i was able to spot. hopefully next week i'll be able to see other things that i have not yet seen
